In 2006, she began writing songs, with lyrics that reflected her inner world. Eventually Jacqui was setting those words to music, with vivid memories of the exact moment’s inspiration struck, where she stood, the words she first wrote, and the voice memos she quietly recorded as songs began to take shape.

Pouring herself into every lyric, she invites listeners to experience the highs and lows of love, loss, and self-discovery. Her debut singles, ‘Heart Here’ and ‘Call Me Old Fashioned,’ are just the beginning; two engaging, layered songs that offer a glimpse into the mind of a thoughtful and evolving storyteller.

In May 2014, Jacqui moved to the United States, settling in Nashville, Tennessee, where she competed in the independent singing competition American Country Music Star and placed as a Top 12 finalist. Her journey continued internationally in November 2015, when she relocated to Ontario, Canada, forming the band The Smokin’ Pistols.

Upon returning to Australia, Jacqui entered a new chapter, forging a path as a solo artist, Jacqui’s pioneering, renegade approach to music-making is evident both in her recordings and her live performances, where warmth, grit, and individuality come fully alive.
